Electric Toothbrushes Offer One More Reason to Smile

Electric Toothbrushes Offer One More Reason to Smile

Technology has advanced a lot over the years. Our ancestors knew the necessity of having clean and attractive teeth. From their thin, frayed-end twigs to the electric toothbrushes, technology has continued to advance in providing a more comfortable and easier way to keep up with the health of the teeth.

Electric Toothbrush and Its Function

Even though all-electric toothbrush brands add uniqueness to make them different, all of them serve the same purpose of getting you a clean set of teeth.

Some electric toothbrushes go with oscillating or rotating, while others go with ultrasonic technology. Some switch off after two minutes and beep after every 30-second alerting them to change the side. On the other hand, other toothbrushes have an extended brush timer button, a massager for gums, etc. So, with an electric toothbrush in your hand, all you have to do is brush your teeth gently.

Better Option For Many

Electric toothbrushes can be used by patients who have arthritis, cognitive impairments, or have had a stroke. This can help boost their self-confidence by helping them have a little control over themselves, paving a path for mental recovery. They just have to hold the brush gently and can also set a timer to check they are doing it for enough time.

Kids Will be Happy

Electric toothbrushes can be a gamechanger for kids. It is suggested to monitor little kids while they brush their teeth, but an older child can brush their teeth on their own with an electric toothbrush. With the help of a timer, we can make sure the child isn't rushing and brushing well for full two minutes.

Not Skipping Dental Checkups

An electric toothbrush could be a good solution for people who face coordination problems because of aging or other medical conditions. This doesn't mean you can skip your regular teeth cleanings appointments and exams. If it's still hard to hold the toothbrush, then make sure to seek someone's help.

An electric toothbrush is definitely good dental hygiene equipment, but it isn't a replacement for your semi-annual and bi-annual dental checkups. So ensure to visit your dentist regularly to maintain good oral health for a lifetime.
